This is where and how to install user made Ableton Live Skins (.ask) files.

Drop the theme into C:ProgramDataAbletonLive 10 SuiteResourcesThemes. Go to Ableton and open the Preferences window, if it's open already close and reopen.

It's best to add the file 'Ableton Live Skin Editor.amxd' under User Library/Presets/Audio Effects/Max Audio Effect. The default skin should be loaded in the Live Preferences under Look/Feel before you drag the Skin Editor into a track. Only this skin or skins created with the Skin Editor can be used as a basis for creating your own skins. MAC: Right click on Ableton app icon show package contents app resources themes.   1. Download and unzip your new theme (“.ask” file)
  2. Open your Mac Finder.
  3. Locate Ableton under Applications
  4. Rightclick and select “Show Package Contents”
  5. Navigate to “Contents” -> “App-Ressources” -> “Themes”
  6. Drag and Drop the .ask files into that folder
  7. Open Ableton and go to the preferences menu (it is under Live)
  8. Now choose your favourite LVMG ONE Theme under ” Look Feel” > Theme
  • Windows
  1. Download and unzip your new theme (“.ask” file)
  2. Open your Windows Explorer
  3. Click in the path box and type in C: or C:ProgramData
  4. Locate the Ableton folder and open on it
  5. Navigate to Ressources -> Themes
  6. Drag and Drop the “.ask” files into that folder
  7. Open Ableton and go to the preferences menu (it is under Options)
  8. Now choose your new LVMG ONE Theme under ” Look Feel” -> Theme
